Insurance and Payment Options

We offer reasonable rates for cash-pay, uninsured, and out-of-network patients, and these rates are subject to adjustment according to the contracted fee schedule based on the session duration. We also verify insurance coverage for our insured patients as a courtesy. Be aware that your health insurance plan may cover some or all of the services. It is the patient’s responsibility to be familiar with their telemedicine and mental health plan benefits and any applicable copayments or deductibles. Billing for all services are based on the total time needed for our work, such as reviewing your particular case, the visit itself, data entry, pharmacy follow-ups, prior authorization paperwork, and interaction with your treatment team.

Current service fees for Cash Pay, Uninsured Patients, and Out-of-Network:

• Initial session (Adult): $265 (60 min)
• Initial session (Adolescent): $315 (60 min)
• Medication management follow-up: $220 (45 min)
• Medication management follow-up: $135 (30 min)
• Medication management follow-up: $100 (15 min)

Patients are responsible for the payment of all scheduled service fees before Balanced Mind Integrative Care renders services. We accept FSA/HSA, all major credit and debit cards.

We require 48 hours (2 business days) notice for appointment cancellations. Email us or leave a message via our HIPAA-compliant patient portal, or call/text either 954-295-7116 or 301-450-6803.

You will be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of its scheduled date. Insurance does not cover fees for late cancellations or no-shows. You will be charged the fee on the day you cancel. Furthermore, if this is the initial appointment, the provider reserves the right to accept or reject any future appointments.

Cancellation and No-Show Fees: 

• New Client Cancellation/No-Show fee $100 fee
• Established Client No-Show: $80 fee
• Established Client Cancellation less than 48 hours: $30 fee

Please Note:

• The No Surprises Act aims to increase price transparency and reduce the likelihood that clients receive a “surprise” medical bill by requiring that providers inform clients of an expected charge for a service before the service is provided.
• Starting January 1, 2022, behavioral and mental health providers will be required by law to give uninsured, self-pay, cash-only clients a good faith estimate of costs for services when scheduling care or when the client requests an estimate.
